Late Summer Trip to Atlanta.

We went on a late summer vacation a weekends agog of Atlanta, Ga. I had purchased some Atlanta Zoo tickets on Groupon back in June. We kept trying to plan a trip but we always had something going on. We finally came up with a date. We left early Friday morning on Aug 7. It took us about 5 hours with the kiddos to get there. We didn’t have to do too many stops with Olivia. Thank goodness for the portable TVs! Lots of Yo Gabba, Dora, Star Wars and of course Frozen.

We got there around 2pm and was able to check in immediately at Staybridge Suites Atlanta Buckhead. It was nice and comfortable for families. The rooms were up to date and spacious. I was very impresses. Once we got settled in, we headed out to grab something quick to eat. We also stopped by real quick at the famous Sprinkles. They didn’t habve the cupcake atm but it was still a fun place to grab something sweet. Afterwards, We went to the Georgia Aquarium. They had after hours where you can go after they 4pm. That was pretty cool. We went about 4 years ago when Julian was 2 and he just didn’t seem that into it. This time around we had both kids and they enjoyed all the sea life.

This was our Friday night. The next morning, We got up early and ate breakfast and went to the Zoo. That was pretty awesome. We all enjoyed it very much. It was Olivia first time at a Zoo and she was so into the animals. She loved the birds and elephants. Julian like the gorillas and snakes. My hubby enjoyed the gorillas and monkeys. I loved the sleeping pandas, giraffes and elephants. It was so much to do there and it was blazing hot that day. After that we went over and had lunch at IKEA and looked at what we could with a 6 year old and 23 month old.

We have wonderful memories with the kids and the vacation itself. I can’t wait for the next one😘
