Collecting Brooches/Pins

Hello All!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. We went up to my dad’s for dinner and met some new people in his life. It was very nice and the food was excellent. We ate watched our Cowboys win another game(humbled by this of course) and came home watched the Disney special. It was a great time.

Today’s Post is on my 8 brooches that I have collected over the years. I have a few that I got from eBay, thrift hunting, inherited from great grandmother, store bought & got off of a shirt.

Cactus I got this one and loved it. It was cute and the cactus trend was all over this spring/summer. I think I was able to wear it a few times. In this post in particular (jazz post) but not too much. This was thrifted for $4.00

Gold BowThis was store bought at Kohl’s 2 years ago. I only got it at the time because we were able to wear Christmas sweaters to work and I wanted to add a pin to mine. It reminded me of the Kate Spade bows that I remember seeing but didn’t cost nearly as much. This was 50% which was only $3 at the time.

Gold & PearlToo pretty to past up. It’s Vintage – y and girly. It wasn’t something I would normally get but thought it would be awesome in my little collection. This was Thrifted as well for $3.00’

YSLYVES SAINT LAURENT. One of my all-time favorite clothing designers. I was looking on eBay one day to just see what trouble I can get into and came across a YSL Brooch. I bid on it and one it fair and square. The price? Less than $15!

Letter ‘R’I don’t remember where I got this but I liked it because of the letter and the style.

Pink Flower This was purchased at the same time as the Gold Pearl one. I liked the flower on it and that it had metallic edges on it. I’m not sure how to wear it yet but will post when I do. This was $2.00

Turquoise w/ JewelsThis was my great grandmother’s and I picked out after she passed over 10 yrs. ago. It’s defiantly vintage and will cherish it forever. It’s in great condition and I wear it quite often. This was priceless

Jeweled Pinthis was from another t- shirt that I had at one time. Lord knows where that shirt is but I kept this. I wear this now whenever I want to add some sparkle to my chambray or plaid tops.
